At first glance, you may think that Gowalla is nothing more than a mere replicate of Foursquare, but in reality, it’s much, much more. Now for both iPad and iPhone, Gowalla is a multi-platform, real life game where you check in from place to place. The more places you check into, the more items you get and the more pins you receive. From there, you can go onto your computer and check on Gowalla’s website exactly how you’re doing. Oh, did I mention you could also keep your friends (and stalkers) up to date with where you are, but text doesn’t do Gowalla justice. How about some pictures?
iPhone
When you look at the iPhone version of Gowalla, you see a neat, clean user interface. You get to see anything you want on your Gowalla account: pins, friends, nearby spots, etc. and even get push notifications of when your friends check in. Here are a few (a bunch) of screenshots:
iPad
While the iPhone version of Gowalla looks nice, the iPad version is amazing. You can rotate it either way, but in the pictures below, I showed them in landscape mode:
Website
Last but not least, is the website that gives you a beautiful look of what you have on Gowalla. I’ll post one screenshot because this post is starting to get long
All in all, Gowalla is a pretty nice app. And it’s free, which makes it even better. So why not download it?
